Nuclear Decommissioning

First generation nuclear power plants, nuclear fabrication, processing and waste treatment facilities age and require decommissioning. The decommissioning process leads to either the removal of a facility and it’s plantwork to release land for other uses (for example, a new facility) or to allow a facility to be left safe for a duration of care and maintenance.
